Pocket Page

Hello!
Have you tried a pocket page yet? I did my first one last month- My Scraps & More did a pocket page swap. Oh boy, was it fun to create! If you haven't heard of this, all you do is take a baseball card protector page that has 9 pockets and fill the pockets with bits and pieces of scrappy goodies. Then you fold in thirds and mail in a normal business envelope.
Here's the page I created for my swap partner Meg:

I used Simple Stories So Fancy along with bits and pieces of Heidi Swapp, American Crafts and some Elle's Studio.
Here is a close up:

Like I said, these are so fun to make!

Here are a few photos of what my kitchen looks like now:

Darling

Hey there scrappy friends!
Today I am sharing a layout I created this morning using Sketchabilities sketch #145 and Turtle Soup's Geography challenge for their mini crop.

I used a selfie of Greg and I while camping at Snyder Park in June along with Crate Paper Love Notes:

I used a Prima stencil, light modeling paste, Creative Embellishment stamp, Gelatos, watercolors and mist to create my background:

The frame is also from Creative Embellishments. I added Gesso and then Gelatos to color it.
The hearts are Studio Calico colored with a Gelato. I fussy cute the doily and added some acrylic hearts. The scalloped borders are fussy cut from branding strips:

The "darling" wood veneer is from Studio Calico also and colored with Gelatos. I added some flair, acrylic arrow and some stitching:

I love that huge acrylic heart:

Here is the fun sketch:

So glad you stopped by today!

My Scraps & More Sketches #112

Hey there!
Over at My Scraps & More Sketches, there is a new sketch up! The DT were given a fun cut file to use by Gina Lideros. I used that along with JilliBean Soup Summer Red raspberry 6x6 paper pad and embellies and came up with this page:

I backed the cut file with a variety of patterned papers. I added some wood veneer pieces colored with Gelatos.
I also added some stiching and various elements from the Ephemera pack:

I added some mist and Gelato smudges to my background along with some thread. I used one of the negative hexagons to put my journaling on:

Just another close up:

Thanks Gina for sharing your cut file with me. I loved working with it!

Time Together

Hello!
I have a page to share with you that I posted for today's lift challenge at Turtle Soup. I lifted a layout by Tammy and used LYB for my background paper along with My Mind's Eye Inde Chic and Stella Rose:

I used my Cameo to cut the circle cut file and added some inks to give it a bit of color.

Here are some close ups:

I punched the scalloped circles from a few different patterned papers.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Beach Babe!

Hi!
Hope you are having a fantastic day so far!
Today I am sharing a layout I created for the Tuesday Trigger challenge I posted over at My Scraps & More today. This months theme is summertime! Nothing screams summer like being in the pool!
I used Fancy Pants Summer Sun for this layout of Sierra:

I used a stencil and Glass Beads for my background. Once that was dry, I painted it with watercolors. I love the result! The glass beads give it a cool water effect.
The Beach Babe wood veneer, I used Gelatos to color it:

I added a BoBunny doily and some of the 6x6 papers behind the photo and then added some of the embellies from this line:

I love that kraft frame, cute whale and the flair!

                                                               Enjoy your day!
