Of coarse being and living in Wisconsin we are PACKER FANS!

This photo of Sierra and Greg were taken last summer at the Packers training camp we went and seen. It was cool to see the players up close!

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

For my layout I used some Elle's Studio Saltwater Collection, Echo Park Here & Now, and a little Fancy Pants Hopscotch mixed in with it:

I love how it turned out!

Happy Friday!

Good morning and welcome to the weekend!

It's Friday! That means there's a new sketch up on the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog. I used the I {Heart} Summer line by Simple Stories along with a photo of Austin at his end of the year baseball party that my friend Julie took. I used a chevron mask and added Glimmer Mist over it. Love how this turned out:

Here is Tammi's fun sketch:

Follow Your Dreams

Hello and happy Thursday!
It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today, just want to share my layout here as well.
I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #905 with insert A and punched all around my page by lining up the edge of the previous punched area with the edge of the punch. Once I had it punched, I backed it with pink cardstock to make it stand out even more:

Just Imagine and LYB

Hello and happy Sunday!
Today I am sharing a layout I have up on the Just Imagine Blog today for a design team reveal. The challenge this month was to create anything vacation oriented. This photo of Sierra was taken while on a summer camping trip after a day of 4 wheelin'.
I used Little Yellow Bicycle's Fern & Forest collection along with the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #915 with insert A on my journaling box and cut a circle with the fabulous circle cutter. I hand cut the sunburst, you can see my tutorial HERE and added some of the cut away parts to the bottom left hand corner of my layout.

Here are a few close ups:

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!

Friends

Hello and happy Saturday!
It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today!
Just wanted to share my layout here as well.
I used sketch #38 from the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog for my layout.
I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #303 and the fabulous Circle Cutter for my layout. I created my border using Punch #303 with no insert and cut my circles with the Circle Cutter, this tool makes it fast and easy to cut circles.

A close up of my border:

Here are the Kreaxions products I used:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Inspiration Elevator July Challenge

Inspiration Elevator

You may recall that the purpose of this challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to grow as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow. You can view all of the challenges our new Inspiration Elevator Blog, here.

This month at Inspiration Elevator, it was my turn to come up with a challenge. I thought long and hard on this. I haven't scrapped many layouts about me, much less my childhood, so I decided this would be a great challenge for everyone:

"I have been thinking lately, that I have only done one layout of my childhood and realized that maybe some day, my kids or grandkids would enjoy looking at a few more pages and learning about my siblings, my parents and I.
So my challenge for you this month is to create a page about a childhood memory of yours. It can be a good, a bad, a funny, a photoless or whatever you choose kind of layout.
Just remember to add journaling to tell the story behind your childhood memory.
Can't wait to see your projects!"

I choose to do a layout about farm life. I grew up on a dairy farm and we milked 40 some cows. I swore when I grew up, I would never marry a farmer- it's way too much work!
 LOL!
Here is my layout:

I used an older October Afternoon line, Sasparilla for my layout. I added some paint and stitching.
Here is a close up:

My journaling reads:
Growing up on a farm was hard work. Getting up at 5:00 a.m. every morning to milk was so hard as a kid. Farm life taught me so much, especially that hard work really pays off!
I can remember being about 7 or 8 years old and we loved playing hide and seek. One day Laurie, Mark and I decided to play hide and seek in the oats field. Well we found out later that day, that the oats field was not a great place to play hide and seek according to my Dad. We knocked down a heck of a lot of oats and my Dad was not a happy camper! Needless to say, we never played in the oats field again.

I would love to see what you do with this challenge, just leave a link to your layout here or on the Inspiration Elevator Blog.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will stop by and see what the other Inspiration                 Elevator designers have created:

Happy Monday!

It's Monday! That means a new sketch is up on the LGS Blog!
It was my week to play and I had fun with the sketch. I used pics of Sierra at a track meet last year doing the 100 meter dash:

I played with a new time clock mask I bought and put lite modeling paste over it:

Here is this weeks sketch:

If you play along with this sketch, please link it up to week 3 over on the LGS Blog!

I also have a few cards to share with you today.
It's the 15th of the month, that means a new card sketch is up at MSW.

Here is my card:

and Lucy's wonderful sketch:

My second card is for Cards In Envy. The challenge today is to use 3 layers on your card. This was an easy challenge for me since I usually use that many:) I used an old line of Cosmo Cricket and fussy cut the butterfly and flower.

I am up on the Practical Scrappers Blog today sharing a card I made with their fun sketch.

Here is my card:

I sprayed the background papers with mists and then stamped the dragonflies on top and also stamped my sentiment. I think it is so soft and pretty.

Here is the sketch for today:

I would love to see what you do with this sketch, just leave me a link and I will check it out.

Rub-On Resist Tutorial

Today on the Practical Scrappers Blog the Design Team is sharing things that can be done using mists. I decided to try a technique my good friend, Bev Code, shared with me. Rub-on resist is so easy and looks wonderful!

I wish I would have taken pictures as I was creating this card, but I didn't :( so I will try and explain it the best I can :)

First I will show you my card and then you will be able to see what I did:

The first step that I did was to use a mask and lite modeling paste to create my chicken wire background. I then added my silver flower rub-ons using a popsicle stick. Once I had all my rub-ons in place, I misted with yellow, orange, pink and a little green Glimmer Mist. I only did one color at a time. After spraying each color, I took a paper towel and just wiped the Glimmer Mist off the rub-ons. SO EASY, HUH?! Then I punched butterflies, added twine, Stickled the butterflies and added a SRM Sticker for my sentiment.

Here is a closer look:

Today we are kicking this month off with a Design Team reveal using this fun sketch by Bev Code:

I wanted to show how easily a layout sketch can be adapted to cards and this will be allowed at Turtle Soup! Exciting, huh?!

This first card I made for my Dad for Father's Day:

And I always like to keep a bunch of birthday cards on hand, so I made this one:
