Bingo!

Happy Monday!
This month has 5 Mondays, so our extra challenge at LGS this month is a fun bingo card.
I used the bottom row: butterflies, chipboard, frame, stitching and a doily along with My Mind's Eye Collectables and mixed it up with some Fancy Pants and Cloud on this layout of Bender:

I love that photo of Bender, but I can't take credit for it. I still am not sure how Sierra got him to lay down that long, lol!

I used a new stencil I bought a few weeks ago and added some acrylic paint:

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Icy Hot!

Happy Monday!
Today there is a new challenge up on the Cards In Envy Blog!
Here is the challenge:

Icy Hot! Create a card that's either "Hot" or "Cold". This could be a beverage OR it could be a scene for example: Cold would be wintry scene and Hot would be a beach or tropical. Make sure your card is an A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is 1/4" or less in thickness to fit in an envelope.

Here is what I came up with using some old Little Yellow Bicycle papers:

I I used a snowflake embossing folder on my white cardstock and added the chipboard skates with some twine.

Inspiration Elevator December Challenge

You may recall that the purpose of the Inspiration Elevator challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to mature as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow. You can view all of the challenges at the Inspiration Elevator Blog.
We are thrilled to welcome guest artist Christy Riopel to Inspiration Elevator this month. You may recognize her work as she is a regular contributor/write for Canadian Scrapbooker magazine.
December's challenge for us and for you comes from the uber prolific Laurel Seabrook. Here's the challenge she posed:
My challenge for December. I love Christmas, everything about it. Decorating my house, making gifts, baking - I love it all. My challenge to you is what is Christmas to you? What is one thing that evokes special memories and truly brings out the Christmas spirit for you. It could be a decoration, photo, song, recipe. Perhaps it is a tradition that you did as a child and now your children do. Maybe it is in the 'special' dinnerware that comes out only at Christmas. Scrap it and tell us all about it. Now for those who don't celebrate Christmas, let's hear about a tradition that makes your celebration special.
Christmas to me, is a lot of things:
~gift giving
~decorating the house
~baking all those yummy goodies
~making and mailing Christmas cards
But the most important part of Christmas is spending time with family and friends. So that's part of what I went with for this challenge. I also added a tradition, since my parents divorced and my mom remarried, my stepdad and mom wouldn't come to our Christmas Eve family get together. So before we head to one of my siblings house Christmas Eve, we all visit my Mom and stepdad for a few hours. We have been doing this for almost 20 years, so I guess we could call it a family tradition;)
Here is my layout using Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas line:

I added some stitching, stamping and misting:

along with some bling on my tree:

Would you like to see what the rest of our designers, and our guest designer, created with this challenge? Of course you would, so here are the links to each one's blog:
Guest designer: Christy Riopel
I hope you feel inspired to play along with our challenge this month, and when you do, please share it using the linky tool on our Inspiration Elevator blog and/or our Inspiration Elevator Facebook page. We'd LOVE to see what you made!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

HoHoHo Merry Christmas!

Seasons Greetings!

Happy Saturday!
It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today.
Today I am sharing a card I made using the fabulous Circle Cutter, Kreaxions Plastic Stencils for circle cutting and the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #312. I cut a 3" circle with the Circle Cutter, I used Stencil B and marked the long lines using a pencil and then centered the punch on the long lines to punch the inside of my circle. I then added turquoise patterned paper behind it:

Here are the products I used:

Have a wonderful day!

A Sad Day

Good morning!
I have a challenge up at Turtle Soup today. No, it's not a sketch, but it's the next best thing. It's a lift challenge!
I lifted a layout by my scrappy friend and fellow Wisconsinite, Danielle.
This was a very hard layout for me to do and I shed some tears while creating it. Our friend, Ron that passed away in September has this huge rock on his land that everyone paints for birthday, anniversaries, weddings, etc. Ron's nieces and nephews painted this rock the day before his funeral. After Ron's funeral, Greg, the kids and I stopped and took some pictures of the rock.
I used some Pebbles and Fancy Pants on this layout.
Here is my lift:

My background consists of mists, inks and wet embossing. Here is a close up:

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me.

Happy Wednesday!

Hey there!
Just wanted to share a layout I created using Crate Paper's Close Knit collection that I have up on the My Scraps & More Blog today.
I just love the soft, muted colors in this collection!
Here is my layout using a family photo of us this summer at Jesse and Mary's wedding:

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Sunday Evening

Where did the weekend go? It went too fast that's for sure!
I finally got my tree up and most of my Christmas cards are made so I took part of today and part of yesterday to play along with My Scraps & More and Turtle Soup's 12 Days of Christmas.

My first layout, Hit the Road, was for day 1's sketch challenge at My Scraps & More:

Day 3 at My Scraps & More is a recipe challenge:
2 pics
3 different manufacturers
NO cardstock
and mist/ paint

I lifted a layout by my fellow design team member, Audrey Yeager, I love her style!
I used tan paint and painted in a circle, added some texture paste using a chevron mask, added some mist, stamps and washi tapes to complete my background:

I love how this came out!

Next, over at the Turtle, I worked on some card challenges. Of coarse, I made Christmas cards, since I am not quite done with them.
My first card was for Day 1: Use a Christmas word:

This was a new technique to try for day 7:
I love it and will be using it again!

Day 8: Use a santa:

I am hoping to get a few more of the challenges done next weekend for these boards.
Have a great night!
